Not only do we share the same initial, but we also share a passion for wine and hiking.
We met in September 2017 when we both moved to Portland, Oregon and quickly realized that the Pacific Northwest is the epitome of wine and hiking trails. Grapes and Gravel was created as a personal diary to share tiny adventures and collect experiences of places worth remembering.
Behind G & G are Emilie and Elena, two graduate students who simply love wine and hiking, preferably a combination of both – plus the dog. We created this space to collect memories of our amateur exploration of the Pacific Northwest and meet like-minded wine and/or hiking lovers.

Aubear
Aubear was born on December 21st, 2016 in Sacramento, California and became part of Emilie and Nick’s family when he was 6 months old. He is an avid hiker, has a strong affinity for cheesy treats, and aspires to become a winery dog.
